This is Because Butter, a food blog by two former college housemates.  We write letters to each other about the food we’ve been making, and we open those letters up to you, our dear readers.

You’ll find our food is generally made of inexpensive, readily available ingredients.  We also try to post recipes that can be ready in that slim window between when we return home from work and when we’re too starving to delay eating ONE SECOND longer.  Annnnd you’ll find that many recipes are easily transitioned into vegetarian/vegan/gluten free, because we like to feed a crowd, and crowds these days have diverse eating needs.
